First off I am an Ohio Resident CCW licensees (for a few months now) living near downtown Columbus in a primary college campus area with a pretty bad crime rate for my liking.I am considering always keeping a gun in the car for the times that quick access to a weapon is needed, like an under steering column holster, for the times I've either unholstered in the car for some reason or am not carrying that day at all. It's very impractical to carry a gun to my car when I'm wearing basketball shorts or something similar and have no way holster it on myself. Yes it's just laziness but it's also inconvenient to carry a gun to the car in a hand just to be placed in the glove box where it won't have quick access. So with this situation in mind what's the general opinion on: 1) always keeping a gun in the car, not plain sight, but in a car parked on a street 2) where's a good place to mount a holster and any suggestions on a model? 3) how does the law work if a friend is driving my car and I'm in it. Is it still legal for a loaded gun to be in the car where the owner (and passenger) is licensed but the driver himself is not. (i.e. The designated driver for the night or long road trips)Thanks in advance! via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/1VoWKfm
