Hi there! The HOA presence in my neighborhood was minimal, until recently. There were a large number of rules and regulations, but it was mostly unenforced. Recently, new board members were elected, and they are updating all of the paperwork, and rules, etc.The information regarding the "common areas" (all parks, open walkways, etc) had one line that caught my eye.FirearmsNo weapons, rifles, pistols or other firearms are permitted within the common areas with the exception of those carried by certified police officers.I am not sure exactly how to take this. Arizona has the Constitutional Carry and I wouldn't think that an HOA would be able to trump that, especially just with a notice in some HOA paperwork. I really don't know, though, and am not sure who to talk to about it.Info: I am in Pinal county (not in an incorporated city), Arizona. What are your thoughts/suggestions? I would prefer not to raise an issue with the HOA itself, until I can find some solid information. Thanks! via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/1UwSLgm
