Hickok45 perfectly explains why lighter is better for CCW.

In this portion of his video review on the PPS M2 Hickok perfectly explains my feelings on concealed carry gun weight.I constantly see posts (in r/guns especially) from people looking at large and heavy guns for concealed carry. Just today someone posted they're looking for an all-steel CZ for their first carry because they're "a bigger guy" and can "handle the weight".Why do people enjoy punishing themselves like this? I'm around 6'3, 200 lbs, and total well over 1000 in the standard lifts. My favorite carry is still an LCP (2nd is a shield). Could I handle wearing a 3 lb gun with a 20 lb weight vest and a polar jacket in the middle of summer? Sure. But I don't get why I would want to make myself more uncomfortable than I need to be. Hickok has been carrying for decades and is 6'8 yet he prefers something Shield or XDS size. Doesn't that tell us something?I understand the benefits of a gun with some weight have to balance out with usability but I can wear my LCP IWB in basketball shorts all day and be incredibly comfortable. No way I'm getting away with that using my CZ or TP9.End rant. Thanks for reading. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/1rUHPOL
