I live in a different state than my address. How do I go about legally buying a gun?

First post here, formatting may be bad. Please work with me. LOLSo, I currently live in Florida for school. My official address remains in virginia. I turn 21 in december, and at that age, I want to purchase a handgun and go about getting my concealed carry permit.
