Alternative Airline Options - Look for Charter FAA Part 135 Carriers

I frequently fly for work, and was annoyed with how complicated it is to travel with a firearm until I recently discovered there are many airlines that operate under FAA Part 135 Charter operations regulations. In my home state of Ohio, we have "Ultimate Air Shuttle" that offers service in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Chicago, Charlotte, Atlanta, and New York. They use high wing Dornier jets that seat ~35 passenger w/more leg room and are quieter than traditional airlines.https://imgur.com/a/xERxJxeBecause they are regulated under FAA Part 135 regulations (VS Part 121 for commercial airlines), there is no security check (no metal detectors/scanners, etc...). They operate out of smaller airports that are easier to get to and usually have free parking (Lunken in Cincinnati, Burke Lakefront for Cleveland, Morristown, NJ for NY, Peachtree Dekalb Airport in Chamblee for Atlanta, etc..). They recommend you arrive 30 minutes before your flight, but will board you if you get there 10 minutes before the flight. I called them to verify if they would let me travel with a firearm, and they just asked that it be locked in a case in my check in bag (which check in for them you literally hand the pilot as your boarding the aircraft, and he immediately puts it under the plane).I've found pricing to be slightly more expensive if you're buy tickets ~1-2 months in advance of your travel date, but usually lower than the airlines if your buying 1-2 weeks out. I travel ~2-3 times per month for work and have been using this carrier exclusively for the last 2 months since I discovered them.Just FYI if you travel allot, see if you have a charter operation at a local airport near you as it really is a much more pleasant experience! via /r/CCW http://bit.ly/2Bd4ahh
