What are some good books, DVDs, and videos for training for CCW and self/home defense? Even if not strictly focused on using a gun. I've read multiple Ayoob books and know they're great, and On Killing you learn the psychological aspects of deadly force. I've seen most of the old Magpul " Art of the Blank" DVDs, which are great for weapons manipulation, but focuses more on tactical operations than personal defense. Travis Haley and Jerry Miculek have some great training videos on their YouTube channels, but focus more on the tactical/competitive aspects respectively. I'm currently reading Dangerous Instincts by Mary Ellen O'Toole to learn to spot potentially dangerous people, and it seems decent, but haven't read anything else to compare it to yet. I was also thinking of getting one of Ben Stoeger's books on dry fire to help make my at home training more effective, but he focuses on competitive, so a suggestion for a defense oriented dry fire book would be nice. I'm also about to buy some pepper spray for myself and my wife, and the one I'm getting comes with a training DVD. I'm not sure how much there is to learn about using pepper spray, but if I actually learn anything I'll get back to you all. What recommendations do you guys have? via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2CW4wHi
