For those who have not followed the entire saga, don't be shy and just hit my post history for all the details. As planned, I hit the range today and ran not quite 200 rounds through the P365. 180 rounds of Remington 115gr white box, 10 rounds of Fed HST (the regular stuff, I forget the weight). The reason I shot less than planned was I heard my P320 calling from the range bag and I felt bad. Here's the notes:Not a single FtF or FtB. Not one. My last time out I had one every mag.On 4 mags (out of 19) the slide failed to lock back after the last round. 3 of 4 was with the same mag and the 4th was the other mag, last 10 rounds of the session. I believe the follower was getting slowed down and not fully seating at the top of the mag after the last round. As far as I can recall, the gun shoots the same today as it did previously in terms of felt recoil and accuracy. Certainly the trigger is unchanged. This is good. This is by far the most accurate little gun I have shot (full disclosure: I've never shot a G43.)I previously had seen no peening or other signs of impact/friction wear on the barrel. But they gave me a new barrel anyway. I still have no signs of wear on the barrel. There is wear inside the barrel hole on the slide and it is identical to what exists on my P320.The X-Ray sites are legit. I have Siglite sites on the P320. I shot them side by side for a bit today. I thought the X-ray was silly right up until I switched back to the Siglites. I was getting much quicker target acquisition on the X-rays. The Siglites do nothing in a lit room. The X-rays do and I don't understand why. Some neon green paint or light bending voodoo. Not sure. But it's rad. I find Glock sites distractingly visible. These are not distracting, but the front seems to be magically lit at all times.I have now cleaned the gun and both mags. I once made a silly comment around here (or r/sigsauer) about oiling the mag. This is dumb. Don't do this. That's not what I meant to say. But what I do is clean the spring and mag interior with a used/oily rag. This is what they taught me at Sig school and does not involved leaving a heavy coat of oil behind. Just a micro layer. I hope this resolves the lock back issue. The mag involved in 3 of 4 was filthy and I had no cleaning supplies at the range.Hope to get out again this week for another 200. Also ordering up an Alex and Ryan kydex holster. It is time. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2HXF0Ff
