My mother was recently in a situation where an insane contracted smashed up her kitchen with a hammer while she locked herself in the bedroom and called 911. Actually, she googled “number to call the police” because she was so scared at the time.Because of that, I’ve now got her to admit that1) she would have shot him if he came at her with the hammer2) she needs to train and think about future situationsHowever, this does not equate to her saying “I’m willing to carry a firearm” necessarily. I know I can get her to buy a home defense shotgun. I can’t guarantee I can convince her an AR is better. She’s agreed to take a CCW class with my old instructor.
