I just received one of these today. I got it to test out this minimalist approach to holsters. I purchased this on Nov. 6th with the claw and tuckable overhook for my XD Mod.2 subcompact. It looks very well built with smoothed edges and good hardware. I got it in all black simply because I didn't want to waste money on a holster I may not use. After trying it out, I doubt it will be more than conversation piece for folks looking at my bag of holsters. The retention, as I got it, was super tight...aAlmost to the point that once the pistol locked in, it wouldn't come out. I tried adjusting the retention and it helped out a small bit...but it also exposed a flaw that I don't believe is fixable with a holster like this. Because it has nothing over the slide, the gun can come out either by drawing or if there is sufficient pressure on the grip which pops the gun out the top, slide first. Once I noticed this, I tightened the retention again and sure enough, it can still pop out.In my nonprofessional opinion, holsters that only capture the trigger guard with nothing over the slide are cool to look at but that's where it ends.In no way does this reflect on the Legacy Firearms. I plan on giving them a try with some of their more traditional holsters. The quality of the holster is really good. I just think the design has flaws that can't be overcome. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2nK9cO5
