Curious how other allocate their scarce resource of money. How much did you spend in 2017 on firearms? Ammo? Firearms-related gear (holsters, slings, magazines, belts, weapon mounted lights, optics, etc)? How much did you spend on training with instructors (firearms, knife, unarmed combatives, medical)? If not raw numbers, how about percentages? Counting all of the above as 100%, how much did you spend in each category?I'll go first:Guns, just a stripped AR lower and a pistol-length upper, plus parts kit and some other things to complete the build. Maybe $700.I spent probably $1500 or more on ammo."Self Defense"-ish gear. Not sure. Not a ton this year because I had most of what I needed. Added about 8 more pistol mags and probably 8 AR mags this year. No new holsters or belts. One new sling. A new knife. Maybe $800 total.Training: $1805. Would've been $400 more but I got two classes for free. Plus airfare, hotels, food. I hesitate to call it training, but I also spent another $100 on IDPA matches this year.So I spent around 38% on training, 15% on guns, 30+% on ammo, and 17% on gear. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2CaT5fF
