What is the best large melee weapon for home defense?

I realize this is a concealed firearm sub but figured many of you 'prep' home defense gear.So hypothetically, your home defense rifle, shotgun, pistols, all your guns are out of ammo or jammed.What melee weapon, perhaps medieval style, do you grab off the wall?lets rule out knives.
