Stepping in to help strangers: the ultimate CCW dilemma

This is something I wrestle with constantly. Would you step in to defend someone in danger? I think we all would get involved in a convenience store robbery if we were inside or anything that directly involved us, our family, or friends. But what about complete strangers. The most recent example I can think of is that kidnap/shooting in New Orleans where the guy reversed on the adjacent road to help a damsel in distress. He wasn't carrying but he decided to get involved. We can all agree it is probably the right thing to do, but would you do it especially given the high likelihood of losing everything you own in a civil suit afterward even if you don't get charged criminally? via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2biFUhJ
