MD Question

Hey everyone, my MD Handgun Permit (Wear & Carry) just arrived today. One question. On the restrictions it says: “Valid while maintaining employment… as a contractor employee for the department of defense. (MD only)(Not valid where firearms are prohibited by law).”Can someone explain the “MD only” part? MD normally has repricocity with quite a few states, including northern Virginia, which I find myself in several times a week for work.
