Had to use my firearm....

This may not be the proper place to post this but I don’t know where else to go and I need to talk about it.I was in my room, on my computer with headphones on. Oblivious to what was happening. All of a sudden one of our dogs bursts in the room freaking out, as I take my headphones off to get up and see what’s wrong with her, I hear my father screaming at the top of his lungs from the back yard....I ran as fast as I could to find our other dog is being attacked by a neighbors dog through our privacy fence (they ripped the back board off). The attacking dog has our dog by the face. Clinched so hard we were unable to separate them. As my father is trying his hardest to get it off, another one of the neighbors dogs is attacking him. I try everything I possible can before I had to do the worst thing I’ve ever done in my life.....I ran into the house and grabbed my pistol...I don’t want to go into much detail because every time I think of it I want to throw up, but after one point blank .380 acp to the head, the dog STILL was clinched, ripping and pulling on our dogs face. I go for another, and the gun jams badly. My father still getting attacked by the other dog.Finally...unfortunately....the attacking dog passes right in front of me, and my father was able to get away from the other.I immediately phone the police, who show up and go through the normal procedures, and ask if we want to press charges etc..The fire rescue had to come and bandage my father up who is right now in urgent care getting stitches on his hands and legs.They cops kept assuring me that I defended myself and my father...but this is fucking killing me. I love animals more than anything, and I never once thought I’d ever have to do what I did.I don’t know how I’m going to deal with this...but...thank you for reading.
