Fixing the Glock 26 pinky pinch while using +2 magazine plates

Tl;dr- Goof with your backstrapThis might not work for everyone, this is just my personal experience!I was getting bit by the space between the +2 magazine base plate and grip on my 26.5, and ended up with blood blisters on my pinky after every range trip. I don't want to take a dremel to my gun, it's a stock Glock with a broken-in trigger- I'm not messing with that. Every "solution" I've seen online involves carving plastic off either the grip or the magazine base plate, and it's never done well.Long story short, I took the backstrap off of the back of the grip. I had put the large one on when I started carrying (big hands, bigger grip, right?). I feel dumb for just now figuring it out, but it turns out that the backstrap really does effect your grip enough to get your pinky out of harm's way. Adding/changing/removing the backstrap could reposition your grip placement enough to completely eliminate the pinky bite, but be warned that you're gonna have to retrain on the new feel.Hope this helps someone! via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/3CuNv6T
