So I have about a month before my interview with sac county sheriff for my ccw and I have a question for anyone familiar with California and restraining orders. I am a protected person on a restraining order I have against a former family member through a now dissolved marriage. I was allowing it to expire this year but the person started up with the threats and stalking activity again so I’m renewing it.My question is will having a restraining order AGAINST someone prevent me from being approved for a ccw? I know if you’re the restrained person then of course you can’t have a gun, but I’ve found no info on the reverse. I’d like to know if anyone has experience in the situation.
