Self defense situations and legal fees

I’ve tried searching for information online but I can’t seem to get a solid answer to my questions so here I am. My question is if your living in a state with stand your ground laws and castle doctrine will you still have to go to court and pay legal fees for shooting (and potentially killing) Someone in a self defense situation? I’m mainly speaking home defense but my question can also apply to a public self defense act. Will CCW insurance reliably protect against this and is it worth it?EDIT: state of occupancy is INDIANA via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/3etrMkN
