Budget - $300-$600 for the firearm itselfCapacity - 10+ doublestack9mm preferablySize - sub compact, comfortable to carry every daySafety: Not a huge deal, but would prefer a grip safety like on the XD. I don’t like just the trigger safety alone like on Glocks but I don’t really like the slide safety like on a 709 slim or a Shield.Holster - IWB, I’m not a skinny person, 3 or 4 O’clockI need an upgrade for my every day carry. My license is in the mail so I’m really excited to carry concealed, but I want to upgrade to a nicer firearm than what I use for my car gun.I’ve had a taurus 709 slim for a few years now with no issues but needless to say I want to carry something nicer. And preferably with more capacity and more pleasurable to shoot.Springfield XD mod 2 sub compact looks nice. I worry about the barrel length being a mere 3”, almost a 1/4” shorter than my 709slim. Will this buck too much? Or is the recoil going to be much better in an XD vs 709?Glock 26 looks promising as well. I kind of prefer the “look” of the XD and really like the grip safety, but if the XD is not as reliable as the Glock I may go with the 26.Shield is too much of a lateral move in my opinion, in terms of single stack slimline guns. I want more capacity than 7+1.Any suggestions besides those two?I’m by no means a very experienced firearms expert. But I’m not a complete beginner, I shoot my other guns often enough to be confident. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2Qbg1T9
