Had a close encounter this morning

I woke up and getting dress for work. Still tired and in a daze because I haven't eaten or shower yet. Putting on my holster. It's a belly band and I carry sob. As I am putting the gun in, I was struggling to get it into the pocket slot. After having to push down on the handle to jam it deep in there, I felt my index finger snatching onto something. It moves a little, then slip off.It didn't bother me until I was brushing my teeth a few minutes later trying to figure out what that funny feeling was. Then I realized that the only moving part on my gun that remote felt like that is the trigger. When I jam it in deep, my index finger slip off the trigger guard and snatched the trigger moving it 1/3".My mind immediately went blank in an "oh shit" moment. Luckily, my safety was on. I carry a Beretta 92, where the safety disable the trigger. I have been carrying that way for a year now. Prior, I didn't. But after tutoring some kids and one of them tried to grab my gun during recess, I start carrying it with the safety on.It just remind me that those who prefer no safety on anticipate a DGU. The other 99% of the time is just dealing with everyday situation like this. I am glad I had a safety on my gun. Otherwise, I would be in the hospital trying to explain to the doctor why I had a bullet glaze through my butt crack. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2PAvScA
