(Report) my trip to Tennessee (Pigeon Forge/Dollywood area)

Recently took a week trip to Pigeon Forge (and surrounding area).SeviervilleI went to several attractions and stores including caverns, arcades, laundrymats, harbor freight, hardware stores, restaurants, gun/knife stores, gander mountain, a flea market.. NONE of them were posted with no-gun signs.Pigeon ForgeI went to Dollywood, they did have a no-gun sign but they only checked bags, those without bags were ushered through and into the park without a look. No metal detectors. I went to a few attractions/restaurants in the area as well (arcades, walmart, fast food, couple other small shops), none of them were posted with no-gun signsGatlinburgThis place was packed like sardines. We only went to a couple of places here, one being the Ripleys Aquarium, which was NOT posted with any no-gun signs that I saw.TownsendWe stopped at a gas station and it was not posted with a no-gun signCades CoveI never saw any signs, and my interpretation of TN law (I'm from FL) is that you can carry in state/national parks but you cannot carry into a building on the property (such as a visitor center or ranger station as that is a federal building).Other MISC LocationsDuring the trip to/from TN, we stopped all sorts of places to stretch our legs (one passenger medically needed to walk around every 2 hours). We stopped at truck stops, gas stations, restaurants, souvenir shops, you name it.. NONE of them were postedSo overall, even though TN gives no-gun signs the weight of law, and there are no requirements on such a sign (They could write "no guns" on a napkin with a sharpie for all TN cares, as long as it's posted at the entrance and reasonably noticeable), I didn't see ANY of these signs, even in the really heavy touristy areas (where I thought for sure everywhere would be posted). The only one I saw was at Dollywood. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/29mn7Bx
