I started a private security job a few months ago and in that time people are getting intense with the amount of thefts and drug use. I am typically able to talk people into reason but when they can't be reasoned with and I don't have backup/they want to fight I don't want to just start hurting them, just subdue them. I understand inevitability there will be pain on their part to a degree, I just want to know what I can do to keep it minimal.
