Someone posted about moving in this sub earlier today which prompted me to look up my states rules.I previously lived in CO, but PCSed to Alabama in August. I am still a CO resident, and that CO address on my permit is still my military home of record. It is also, therefore, the address listed on my CO DL. I just realized I was supposed to notify the sheriffs office of my move no later than 30 days post move, otherwise it is a class 1 petty offense. How should I go forward handling this? Do I notify them of my new address and hope they don’t charge me with any offense?I also wonder if I legally need to notify them in this case, or if my AL address would just be considered my mailing address versus physical address.
