S&W 442-2?

I recently got a 442 in a trade and I noticed that inside by the crane there is 442-2 marked. Is this some sort of revision or a way to date it? I tried to google it and I can’t seem to find anything. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2Bkaqnr
