I genuinely don't understand why the lowest-end "pistol lockboxes" run around $24 and the best, most effective "pistol lockboxes" like Fort Knox "handgun safes" run about $240 – $300. Why the hell is the difference literally more than an entire order of magnitude?

Why is it so difficult to manufacture a simple stainless-steel lockbox with a reasonably pick-resistant keyed lock that retails at around $50 – $70? No complicated, fiddly, unreliable "biometrics" or otherwise electronic locks that inevitably fail when you need them the most. Why? Why? -_- via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2IJt2RF
