Do lightweight and easy to shoot/low recoil handguns exist?

Or are these two attributes always a trade off?I frequent the /r/ultralight subreddit but I get raked over the coals even mentioning I want to carry on the trail.Does anyone else carry on the trail with lightening their load being the main concern?
