Entering a mall through non posted entrance (TN)

I was at my local mall this morning and realized that the entrance to the book store was not posted, neither is the entrance to the main mall from the book store. I would assume there are other stores in the mall with this situation, but I haven't confirmed it.Am I right in understanding that if not all entrances are posted, one would be able to carry?
