Hey guys, this question is based towards this of us in SW FL (Port Charlotte, Sarasota area). I plan on going to Kix Country Fest on Sunday (my only day off) and would highly prefer to carry, but the website specifically states the "No Weapons of any kind are allowed", the event is taking place at the Charlotte County Fairgrounds which hosted a gun show last week. My (admittedly limited) understanding of the laws in FL don't prohibited carry at concerts, fairs, etc, and that there's a pre-emption law in place to restrict counties from implementing stricter laws than the state. So my question? Has anyone else carried to country fest/know if they could legally enforce the no weapons policy? ... I know when I went to the Strawberry Festival in Plany City they changed the signage to read no unlawful weapons and the screening was a typical security theater checking for outside food/drinks. I'm not 100% clear on where the lines get drawn here and would rather avoid having to go put my weapon back in my truck instead of having it on me.Please excuse formatting as I'm on mobile and currently working... via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/1SBfSUF
