I've been told by a number of friends over the years, that when using a knife in self defense, holding the knife in a position so that the blade is held out and away from the thumb side of your fist is okay, but held the other way, so that the blade is held out and away from the pinky side of your fist, will be considered homicide, even in a self defense situation. I've never been able to find ANYTHING online about this, and it's always sounded like fucking bullshit to me. Is it?
