Looking for advice and discussion. So, I carry a concealed firearm. I also carry pepper spray. My mentality is I don't want to just carry a hammer and treat everything like a nail. I can think of a number of instances where I'd want to have a less lethal option available to me - aggressive stray dog, a violent drunk who is dangerous but not quite a deadly threat just yet, maybe a lone unarmed mugger who hasn't caught me flat footed...that kind of thing, obviously up to your individual judgment and circumstances. And if the spray fails, and the situation continues to escalate, I have the lethal force option available. But does carrying a lethal force tool and a less lethal tool open me up to any potential legal issues? What's the current prevailing thought on this? I'm just worried that in some kind of defensive situation, the issue of why I did or didn't use my pepper spray in this particular circumstance might become a sticking point.Do y'all carry pepper spray when you carry a gun? Why or why not? What's your thoughts? via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/1UjjVY2
