TL/DR: Do I go with Glock 19 or Glock 43 as a first purchase?Hey CCW, I've been following for a while, doing the proper research and have read just about every post here about others choosing their CCW's and why. From the research I made a list of which to try out at the range as most posts recommend doing.XDS 9mmM&P ShieldGlock 19Glock 43 (late addition)Generic info, I'm 6'0 athletic build living in warm climate.AT THE RANGEXDS 9mm- Felt alright in my hand, decent size. Shot average accuracy with it. Love the grip safety being a noobie and being afraid of shooting myself upon holstering (I've read a lot here that should never happen with any gun with a correct holster). Overall it was a decent gun, nothing special but nothing terrible. So I ranked this gun average all around.M&P Shield - Felt great in hand with the slimmer body, grip seemed to get a lil slippery once I worked up a sweat. I was horribly inaccurate with the shooting, but a friend who looked at my target made the comment "yeah the bullet grouping ain't that good, but this guy is still dead." Personally if I ever have to use force, I'd rather not take the chance of missing. This gun is bottom of the list.Glock 19- Felt good in hand, seemed way bigger than the first two giving me concern over concealment (I've read here a lot of people saying they can conceal the 19 just fine) I was VERY accurate with it which was a good confidence boost after shooting the first two. This gun is second on my list (maybe first depending on what you guys say)Glock 43 - late recommendation because I didn't know this gun existed. Felt great in hand felt like a slimmed down Glock 19 or a sturdier M&P. I shot inaccurate with it but still better than with the M&P. Not a fan of only 6 rounds (yes I know I can buy the magazine extension but at that point, why not just get the 19 right?) This moves to first or second on my listSo It comes down to this, do I go with the Glock 19 or 43? The salesman was kind enough to let me try them both in holster 1:00 and 4:00. The 43 felt invisible on me, but also felt so small it was toy like. However I'm sure anyone looking down the barrel of a small gun vs a big gun will have a similar reaction.Glock 19 was not as heavy on my person as I was expecting. I wear fitted clothing and the salesman assured me he saw no printing with the 19. I didn't get the opportunity to see what it felt like sitting in a car or chair but carry wise, it felt slightly big, but concealable.Just wanna get some of your opinions. I can see myself EVENTUALLY getting both of these guns because I liked them so much. So which do I go with first. Do I go with the 43, a better conceal gun that I plan to EDC. OR do I go with the better all around gun the Glock 19 and maybe start wearing less fitted shirts. Should I consider revisiting one of the other previous options.I might post this in /r/glocks or /r/glock too for other opionions. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/1pvxtmq
