State to state differences with obtaining the CCL.

I recently moved from Iowa, to Nebraska. HUGE differences. In Iowa, I literally went to a website, paid $50. Watched a video then immediately followed a quiz, a few videos and quizzes later there was a final test, passed, printed out the "certificate" and took it to my sheriffs department and got a picture taken. A few days later I was licensed to carry, conceal OR open.Moving to Nebraska, I was able to waive the 180 days of living in Nebraska due to my honored permit from another state, however I was forced to meet with a certified state instructor, actually tossing some lead down the range, successfully. Then drive to the State Patrol, after I set up an appointment. I was then extensively fingerprinted; palms and sides of hand, pictures taken, now I await an extensive background check. With information requested from local departments among federal background searches.I am amazed at the differences from State to State, let alone ones even sharing a border.Hell, even the total costs were doubled from Iowa, to Nebraska.Have you experienced major differences? Thoughts? Opinions? via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/1VC52Sd
