I’m going to get my concealed carry permit in a couple days and am looking at guns for carry. For context I’m, tall, skinny, and live in the South so I won’t be bundling up for most of the year. I’ve decided appendix IWB is best suited to me and have narrowed it down to the Sig P365XL, the CZ P10C (like it more than the Glock 19, have fingered both in stores although haven’t shot them), and the HK VP9. I don’t wanna go smaller than the 365XL, I have shot the regular 365 before and it’s a little snappy bc it’s a short barrel, not uncontrollably or unpleasantly so but I would get shots on target quicker with a slightly bigger gun so the 365XL is my size minimum. The HK VP9 is the biggest of the bunch and I might take it off the list bc it’s seems harder to find and a bit more expensive than the other options, however the paddle mag release intrigues me and it is an overall quality piece. The P10C and HK VP9 are more suited as all around guns since they’re bigger and pack more rounds unless I get extended sig ones, but they would both be harder to carry. Their dimensions are as followsSig P365XL 12+1 Length 6.6 Width 1.1 Height 4.8 Barrel 3.7 Weight 20.7 ozCZ P10C 15+1 Length 7.3 Width 1.26 Height 5.2 Barrel 4.02 Weight 26 ozHK VP9 15/17+1 Length 7.34 Width 1.32 Height 5.41 Barrel 4.09 Weight 25.56The Sig is .7” shorter than the CZ and .74” shorter than the HK, .16” and .22” narrower, and .4” and .61” shorter, respectively. These differences seem minimal, but how much do these differences matter in terms of conceal ability? I feel like the VP9 might be too big so now it’s more between the CZ and the Sig. Arghh I’m so torn. What’s holster availability look like on these? I will most likely carry appendix with a light, I’m left handed as well. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2Kye2Kr
