(Question) We shoot until we stop the attacker, but what if there are multiple bad guys? If the first guy had a gun, do we assume the others are armed too?

I live in Washington State.If you are forced to use your weapon to stop a bad guy with a gun, and he has 1 or more accomplices, do we fire at them too? Assuming they aren't scattering and you're unable to leave the area?What happens if, after everything is over, the accomplices were unarmed?
