I got my carry permit and read up on the laws regarding protecting my home but I ran into a situation last week that I need more information on. I was at my storage unit dropping off items from my house when my ex-wife and her family ambushed me. My ex's son was trying to attack me but was being held back by some of his family. There were others there and I was afraid they were going to circle around to my blind side to surprise me so I removed my gun from my holster, chambered a round, then immediately re-holstered it just to let them know I was armed. As I hoped, it de-escalated the situation and they all left. I'm unclear about engagement rules outside of the home though. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2vaJgeo
