Question for SG Holster owners

I've got a couple of stealthgear holsters. The revolution I have for the Sig P938 fits the gun really well, it snaps right into the kydex outer shell and you can shake it around off-belt and nothing's going anywhere. The ventcore I have for the Sig P224 doesn't have a positive lock on the gun. It's friction fit only, which due to the backing seems to be safe given how tight I wear my belt. Off belt, no hold at all. If it flips over your belt while you're in a public restroom it'll flop right out.Now before you get all worked up about my expectations, I'm aware that on a soft backed kydex holster it's designed to provide the right retention only when on-body.I pulled the shell off and checked that the P224 was lining up right, and it is. The only thing I can see is that the area between the front trigger guard and the trigger is not dented in like many examples I can see online. Here's what I mean, mine's on the left with an example on the rightNow, on to my questions for those more experienced with SG/AG type holsters. Is the missing dent the cause of my woes?If so, on the SG shells can I fix it myself? Is there a method? via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2sIGaQA
