I just got my license and have been carrying for about 2 weeks now. I chose to carry my XDM 4.5 9mm because it was the only pistol I own and I have put about 1k rounds thru it so I know if I need it, I can make the shot. However, i have had a really hard time finding a comfortable carry position for it. I bought a hybrid IWB holster and have been trying it at 3:30 and 4 oclock positions but it is putting alot of pressure on my hip.I have tried adjusting the carry depth and cant of the holster but have not found a good spot for it yet.
