Unexpected LEO interaction - non-permissive but legal environment - duty to inform? Hmm...

This possibility had never occurred to me before.Let's say one works in a non-permissive company, perhaps with only an employee handbook prohibition on weapons. Not posted, just a risk of dismissal if caught carrying. And, let's say this is in a state with a duty-to-notify LEOs when carrying concealed. Then, suppose there's a malfunction of the building's alarm system and the police respond. If you're the contact for the building, and have to talk to the responding officers, is that a duty-to-inform situation? They haven't "stopped" you, but it is an "official" interaction. What would you do? If you notify, you'd be revealing your status as a concealed carrier thus risking your job. If you don't notify, are you violating the duty to inform? via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2l2s34R
