Lackluster Alien Gear experience

So I just wanted to share my first Alien Gear experience. I had been using cheap generic holsters for my TriStar T100 and IWI Baby Eagle for awhile, and I wanted to upgrade to something made specifically for their shape. Alien Gear looked decent, and several online sources showed that one of their holsters happened to fit both guns (T100 is a clone of the Baby Eagle).Source (he mentions the name of the holster): https://youtu.be/lVPfymAjLB0?t=163That is what I got in the mail: http://ift.tt/2gxTO1H http://ift.tt/2hgWb7w to say neither of my guns would fit. At first I thought it was a retention issue so I tried using the other supplied hardware. No dice. Then I thought it was the rail groove on the holster that was the issue. The videos and forum posts that I referenced showed no rails in the holster. Also, neither of my guns had rails. At this point I figured that Alien Gear had sent me the wrong version of the Baby Eagle holster by mistake (I think there are several). I hit up their live chat support and informed them of my issue. I provided pictures and references, but the support staffer spent about 30 minutes trying to convince me that all of their Baby Eagle holsters had rails (clearly not the case). It's like they didn't even look at my links.http://ift.tt/2gxJAhZ about the third time I was informed that all of their holsters had rails, I started to get frustrated. I began fiddling with a G43 airsoft pistol that I had when it hit me. The shape was too familiar.Compare: http://ift.tt/2gxTO1H http://ift.tt/2hgVnzo had literally sent me either a G17 or G19 holster (I don't have those, but my airsoft gun is similar). It wasn't even one of the Magnum Research holster variants. They had sent me a GLOCK holster which doesn't even look remotely similar to what I ordered. How do you mess up that bad? On top of that, I was initially told I had to pay return shipping for a refund. They mess up an order and I have to pay return shipping? Unreal. I stubbornly argued for a bit and eventually they agreed to refund me without shipping the holster back, but the whole experience still left a sour taste in my mouth. I probably shouldn't be this upset about this, but the holster also caused me to miss a $150 holster training class that I can't even reschedule.I know some of you guys seem to like Alien Gear, but there's no way I'm buying anything from them again. Even the refund felt like it was to get me to stop bothering them. I didn't feel like they addressed my issue. It was more like "fine, fuck off here's your money back". Anyways, poorly formatted rant over. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2gxQ1kQ
