I meant to post this earlier but I was busy. This happened last Sunday evening.I was at northbound Greenville (road in dallas) getting ready to turn left onto mockingbird (another road in Dallas) when a dude pulled up to the right of the car in front of me. He started honking and rolled down his window and pulled out a semi-automatic handgun. He started banging it on the window sill of his own car, trying to get the attention of the people in the car in front of me.I'm dialing 911, while trying to keep low in case shots start getting fired. Light turns green and guy with the gun heads out. Dispatcher was asking me a bunch of questions, and it was all I could do to remember the license plate number. ( I was a little focused on the guy's hand cannon, and not catching a stray bullet.)Anyway, cops call me later and say they caught the guy. Turned out it was a BB gun replica of a real gun. They started asking me if I got the license plate of the other car. I said no. It makes me think there was more to the story than just what I saw.At no point did I think about pulling my own gun, as my life was not directly threatened and the parties involved were unknown to me (not friends or family). I didn't consider it my job to get involved to that extent, especially when I didn't fully know what was going on. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/1Sam1a8
