Day One: Out in the world

I've carried around the house, to the mail box, etc. for about 3 months in preparation for this day. I felt like I had thought it through, in terms of the dos and don'ts of carrying you read about here and other places. So far so good. My work place is a GFZ, so the switch from holster to storage is something I've not yet had the chance to work on, when not in my own driveway, before today.I will say the one thing I did not foresee, and didn't have an issue with while carrying at home was, reaching my wallet. I carry at about 3:45 :) IWB on my strong side and that strong side back pocket is where my wallet has lived since I started carrying a wallet. I have the holster (Alien Gear Cloak/Tuck 3.0) adjusted to the lowest option, so my firearm is as much in my pants as possible. The rim of the kydex shell is perfectly inline with the top of the waist line on most of my pants and it just seems a tad in the way when I reach for that strong side back pocket. Now, my CCW instructor had said that I should eventually consider changing where I carry my cell phone (strong side front pocket) in the event I had to draw my firearm and reach my phone at the same time. I haven't made that change but, the wallet thing is not something I had planned for.Curious about other things, maybe not so often mentioned in forums like this that you folks have had to work around to accommodate carrying daily. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/1S3V6up
