Hello everybody, I plan on buying a new handgun sometime after this semester ends and getting my CCL shortly after. I'm looking for some outside input in case I'm missing something. Just for size considerations, I'm 6'2" and about 190 lbs, large/deep chest/shoulders. As a result, I'm not real worried about printing as around my waist, shirts have plenty of extra material. Here's what I've held/used/considered:FNH FNS-9: was considering this until I held it at my LGS, didn't like the ergos or the trigger after dry-firing it.Sig P320 Compact: Held this at my LGS, felt pretty good, I really liked the trigger. I've heard people say they're too fat for CCW, whaddaya think?Walther PPQ Classic: Held a used longslide version, ergos were darn near perfect and the trigger was ok, not quite as good as the p320, but close IMO. But it was used. Is this too big for a conceal gun? I've heard the accuracy is great on this gun and I like the paddle mag-release, so that's why I'm looking at it.HK VP9: I did not get to handle this in store, but it's almost the same size as the PPQ, so if the Walther is, is this a viable option? If you had to pick between this and the Walther, which would you pick? I've heard that this is more or less a refined PPQ, is that a valid statement?HK P30sk: Neat little gun. I like the fact that it's da/sa and has an additional thumb-safety. Didn't like the trigger from dry-firing it. Didn't like how the safety felt, but I still like that it had on (felt very plastic-y, I know it's a polymer gun, but it still felt, well, almost cheap)Springfield XDs9: My dad has one of these, haven't gotten to shoot it yet, but dry-firing, ehhh, not a huge fan but it's very concealable at the least and I like Springfield.Glock XX: no. just no. I think they're ugly, have no character, and I don't like the trigger. Plus the fanboys alone are enough to make me hate the company.Smith and Wesson: my dad has a full-sized one of these too, they're ok and priced well, but I think I want something that's not carried at every store in America.CZ P-07: looks like a nice gun minus the midget slide, have nowhere to handle one of these though, they aren't in stores around me.I really thought da/sa would be more my style as I have an (admittedly cheap) RIA 1911 that I like, but after dry-firing the Salther and Sig, I'm not so sure anymore. I just wish there were a thumb-safety on those two since they have fairly light trigger pulls. If you have any experience with any of these guns, please give me your opinion. If you've carried any of these guns, please give me your opinion and how you carried it (and with what holster would be fantastic). If you think there is anything else I should consider, please let me know. My budget will be about $550-600 (I've been able to find all of these in that range, even the HKs). The primary function of this gun will be carry, but I want to be able to range-shoot with it if possible too, I know that's asking a lot, but it's worth a shot, eh?thanks ahead of time for any input! I'll try to respond to any comments in a timely fashion. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/1q1CnYM
