There is so much discussion about what moral or ethical obligation one has to act as a general protector for the general population (assume no legal obligation), and I see challenges like:"If you are there and you see a child being raped you would have to do something". Well I would need to know just a few more details...like what is a real situation where you just come across a child rape in your day."If my family is there and there's an active shooter threatening them, I hope you would try to help". Well if I'm close enough to your family and there's an active shooter and they are a direct threat...that shooter is a direct threat to me too. These are silly to me without specific information about what kind of situation we are talking about, and specifically what I have the ability to do.I also have a theory that the more you have to live for (family-wise) the less likely one is to intervene in a third party encounter. I know I can't have all possible personal situations in the poll but I'm curious, so fit yourself into the box that best matches your life situation and personal moral code.View Poll via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/3kvd5zI
