I've had my FL concealed for almost two years, and just moved to CT. I've been leaving voicemails to no avail with the CT weapons division of the state police. I grabbed the attention of an officer before I was yet again transferred to a dead end. I told him no one is responding, and asked if there was a physical location that I could go to get the process rolling. He goes, "nahhh just keep calling, they're swamped." I've been calling for a month and not one answer. Now, let me preface this part with the fact that I am politically right leaning, but also very neutral and open-minded. I can't help but think that these attitudes are a result of our recent treatment and disrespect towards police officers. Until this call, I had hope that all of this strangeness in the air was eventually going to blow over. I get attacked on reddit for defending good police officers, and outrage culture is rampant. I understand the anger, but it is completely misdirected. I feel that the left, especially my generation in their 20s, doesn't even know what they're angry at, and it could lead to a serious problem for the 2nd amendment and other rights. I also feel like all the good guys are being pushed out of the force, l leaving a void to be filled by shitty cops who don't care if they are hated - speaking in generalization. It's not just the left, racists and Karen's are coming out of the wood works like never before. The moral of this post is that I feel now is a time when carrying is more important to protect yourself and family than ever. Be proactive. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/3gxcKcL
