Any one out there AIWB carry a Glock and have replaced their backplate with a striker control device?

I have been carrying either OWB or IWB at the 4 o'clock position but have recently switched over to an appendix carry just to try it out. Buddy of mine brought to my attention the striker control device and I'm wondering if it's worth the 90+ bucks to replace my current backplate just for piece of mind.
