My thought process behind the question is this: if the majority of the population was able to carry without a permit, people would not learn or know the legal side of a self defense shooting and the consequences of taking a life. An uneducated population would result in more unjustified uses of deadly force. I believe the legal side of a CCW class is incredibly important, and is information that could dissuade someone from using deadly force if they know it would not be justified in court. Also, our legal system is already difficult to navigate for individuals who have justifiably used their firearm in self defense, so wouldn't it be become worse for people whose SD shooting wasn't (clearly) justified?I would love to hear opinions, feedback, and critiques on this question. Just curious as to what you all think.***Note: I support Constitutional carry and nationwide reciprocity. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/32lnSV3
