what would be the best way to defend myself from a big dog while on my bike?

This might be one of the more strange questions on here, but here it goes. So i live in the country, almost everyone has big dogs, most of them just stay on the owners property and do no harm, but lately there has been this one house that has two big dogs, one full grown german shepherd, and another massive dog just full of muscle (idk what breed). And the big one full of muscle started chasing me one day while i was riding my bike, he chased me probably 300 feet away from the owners property, luckily i was able to out run him on my bike, but almost had a heart attack while at it XD. so i’m looking for something that i can use against them, maybe some powerful pellet gun or something, just something that will hurt them A LOT, any ideas on what would work? i just need it to be small enough that i can carry while riding my bike. please leave your suggestions in the comments :) thank you for reading my rant, have a good day 😁
