Help! Advise on Tier One Axis Slim for 5 O’ Clock Carry?

I’m sold on the T1C Axis slim, but there are around 4 times a month that I have to carry in the 5:00 position. How feasible is it to undo the shock cord these few times a month and use just the pistol holster with one clip for 5:00 carry?
