I recently had a eye opening conversation with a retired law enforcement officer who is anti-CCW. She mentioned that it scares the crap out of her that pretty much anybody off the streets with very limited training and have a deadly weapon under their shirt. One thing led to another and I mention that I have my CCW and I carry every day. And she asks "What are you so scared of?" And that really got me thinking... As a kid who grew up with guns and learning how to properly and safely handle a deadly weapon I never really second guessed owning a fire arm. And after joining the military, I became confident in my decision making skills under high stress situations so I obtained my CCW as soon as I turned 21. This decision seemed second nature. That next step in protecting myself in the general public. I never really thought about if I was scared of something or if I was scared to be in public. So I ask you, "What are you so scared of?" Or in other words why do you carry? via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2LbYHfm
