Trust your gut when purchasing through a private sale

I posted an online ad looking for a specific gun and got a response from a guy saying he had it and would be willing to sell it to me at a good price. He also sent me pictures which included several magazines, and the original case. I was good with the purchase and so we agreed to meet at a public location which is always recommended.I pull into the parking lot and it's empty, which gave me my first uncomfortable feeling. I like to have people around. I text the guy that I had arrived and waited for a response, which I didn't get, but then I see a young guy that looked between 17-20 years old walking toward me with one hand in his hoodie pocket. At that point I was very uncomfortable. I can't be 100% certain he was holding a gun, but it looked like it to me.As he walks up to my car I don't see a gun case or anyway he could be carrying one unless it was hidden under his hoodie, which I highly doubt. I roll the window down about 2 inches, because I wasn't about to get out of my car at this point, and he says that he forgot the "clips" to the gun and had to walk back up the hill to get them. He said that he would be back in 7 minutes and I said OK. I had no intention of sticking around and as soon as he walked off I immediately took off.I texted him saying that I was no longer interested and I had to leave. My gut was telling me from the moment I pulled into that parking lot that something didn't seem right, and if you ever get that feeling the best thing to do is leave. I had my CCW gun on me but was not wanting to be any part of a shady situation.TL;DR - I had a bad feeling about a private gun purchase and I noped out of there as soon as I could.Trust your gut! via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2yxHc6M
