Recently I bought an LCP mainly for when I need to answer the front door. I'd also put it on to take out the trash once a week, and if I was having a really painful back day but still had to make a run into town for groceries, then I'd wear it instead of my regular carry (this happens maybe twice a year). My point is, I'm not putting on a belt when I grab it. My idea was to get one of those holsters with a UltiClip on it so it could clip to the fabric of my pajama pants and jeans, and the LCP is light so it should stay up just fine for the little bit I'd be wearing it.The problem I'm having is finding a holster that isn't crappy or expensive. I don't need a crazy appendix rig with all the bells and whistles (and price!), just something that'll hold the gun in place, so preferably kydex. But when searching I see a lot of one size fits most cloth and leather holsters, and we all know retention is garbage in those; I'd rather not have a tiny gun fall out if I decide to lay down on the couch or play with my kids while it's still on.So, has anyone done this for an LCP? The cheapest I can find is around $50 for an appendix holster plus adding the UltiClip myself (or 2 clips depending on the holster design I guess), which are like $14 each on Amazon. Or if anyone knows of a competitor/alternative to the UltiClip that would be helpful too. Thanks.Additional tangential information:I considered a pocket holster, but my wife needs to be able to use it to, and her lounge clothes don't have pockets. I plan to place a Vedder and Raven order soon, but Raven doesn't seem to make stuff for the LCP and the Vedder Lighttuck is $70. Yes I know it's ok to talk to strangers with the door closed, but there are instances where the door must come open eventually, and I still like to be armed when talking through the door. My wife and I have both been losing weight and I don't trust a sticky holster to stay in place and/or keep the gun in if my clothes aren't tight (and they never are with my back situation). It's the original LCP, because it was cheap and small lol. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2LgMzty
